Carlisle Council approves $25,717 for park picnic tables

PA CARLISLE — Carlisle Council approves park improvements and community funding. The Borough Council voted unanimously to purchase 16 ADA-compliant picnic tables and surface mount packages for LeTort Park Pavilion from Boyce Recreation for $25,717.04 through the state COSTARS program, subject to solicitor review and funding agency approval. Council also approved $12,500 in 2026 Budget disbursements across 11 outside agencies and unanimously adopted an ordinance amending Chapter 244 to add one handicapped parking space at 159 North East Street and remove one at 131 East Louther Street.
Additionally, Council approved a $605,822.25 reduction in financial security for Carlisle Auto Industries for the Former IAC Site, Lot 1.
