Council approves $299,000 fuel purchase contracts

PA CARLISLE — Carlisle Borough Council votes 6-0-1 to approve $299,000 fuel purchase contracts with Sunoco LLC. The council authorized fuel purchases on May 6 through the Keystone Purchasing Network, acquiring 40,000 gallons of gasoline at $3.8650 per gallon and 33,000 gallons of diesel at $4.3762 per gallon. Mayor Shultz, Deputy Mayor Perry, and Councilors James, Mellen, Roos, and Stuby voted in favor; Councilor Shiles abstained.
The council also heard presentations from 12 outside agencies requesting additional community funding.
