Parks board expands summer entertainment programming

PA CARLISLE — Carlisle Parks board announces expanded summer entertainment programming and spring community activities. Director Andrea Crouse announced a revamped 2026 Summer Artist Series featuring three outdoor movie nights, concerts at The Square, Memorial Park, and Thornwald Amphitheatre, and the Carlisle Town Band's John Philip Sousa finale at the Carlisle Theatre. May Bike Month activities include Bike with a Councilman, a Pump Track Clinic, and an E.T. screening at Valley Meadows Park on May 16.
Board member Marv Salsman announced a lithium-ion battery recycling partnership with Redwood Materials on May 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Army Heritage and Education Center.
