Planning Commission backs Dickinson College Jim Thorpe Center

PA CARLISLE — The Carlisle Planning Commission unanimously backs Dickinson College's Jim Thorpe Center development. Vice Chair Lee Winton moved a unanimous recommendation for approval of the preliminary and final land development plan at 212-240 West High Street, with Mark Green seconding. Applicant counsel Hubert Gilroy accepted staff conditions and presented revised ADA parking showing four spaces across two lots, with planned water main connections at College Street and potentially West Street.

The Commission separately elected John Werner Chair and Lee Winton Vice Chair for 2026.
