2026 · Meeting of March 26, 2026
PA CARLISLE — Carlisle's Planning Commission unanimously recommended Council approval of a commercial subdivision and a school district land development plan. The Point at Carlisle Plaza would split 800 E. High Street into two parcels with 0.38 acres dedicated as a right-of-way, though the applicant offered only 30 to 35 feet rather than the standard 60-foot width.
The Carlisle Area School District's middle school project, located southwest of Waggoner's Gap Road and Interstate 76, would consolidate elementary schools to K-3 grades, renovate middle schools for grades 4-6, and build a new middle school for grades 7-8, with a roundabout on Waggoner's Gap Road and new traffic management plans. Both recommendations are subject to waivers from multiple code sections and staff conditions.
