Sewer Authority approves three facility planning requests

PA CARLISLE — Sewer Authority ratifies three facility planning requests. The Carlisle Borough Sewer System Authority unanimously approved three sewage facility planning requests for Carlisle Area School District sewage facilities, Cumberland Crossing in South Middleton, and the Trailer Facility on Alan Road in South Middleton during its April 21 meeting. Consulting Engineer Jamie Shambaugh reported that soil borings and samples for the biosolids project were completed at the end of March, with surveying underway to support design and development.
Treatment Plant Senior Operator Melissa Kenny reported on a new catwalk with railings and ladder installed in the dry well to improve worker safety during routine pump maintenance.
