PA CARLISLE — Carlisle sewer authority elects officers, updates compliance plan. The Borough Sewer System Authority unanimously elected Ed Hazel as Chairman, Meghan Anderson as Vice-Chairman, Gary McCormick as Secretary, and Paul Siekert as Treasurer. The board appointed Martson Law Office and Gannett Fleming as Solicitor and Consulting Engineer.
Treatment Plant Senior Operator Melissa Kenny reported on a longer-than-normal wet well cleanout and emphasized the criticality of the Hydrovane air compressor, which was out of service for part of 2025. When inoperable, debris can form a dense mat that significantly complicates cleanouts. Consulting Engineer Jamie Shambaugh reported the Corrective Action Plan has been finalized and is actively being implemented with Borough management meeting key Department of Environmental Protection requirements to address wastewater system compliance concerns.
